Best-selling writer for children and entertainer David Walliams has parted ways with his longtime publishing house, according to an announcement.

A representative for the firm commented: "After careful consideration, and under the leadership of its new CEO, HarperCollins UK has decided not to publish any new titles by David Walliams."

Reports indicate that the conclusion was made after an review of allegations of conduct deemed unsuitable towards women.

The firm has not elaborated on the specific rationale behind the move, noting: "We refrain from speaking about internal matters."

A Highly Successful Publishing History

Walliams stands as a most successful children's authors, having sold over six tens of millions of copies worldwide in five dozen languages.

The debut children's novel from Walliams, *The Boy in the Dress*, was released through HarperCollins back in 2008.

A number of his books, for example *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have also been adapted into small-screen adaptations.

To date, he has released in excess of 40 works altogether, encompassing a festive story titled *Santa & Son*, which was released through HarperCollins in October.

He first rose to fame on the TV sketch series *Little Britain* and has also won National Television Awards for his role as a panelist on *Britain's Got Talent*.

He received an OBE in 2017 honoring his contributions to the charitable sector and arts community.

This move occurs subsequent to the naming of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's recent CEO last fall.
