The Opening Game Pass Additions of 2026 Demonstrate Xbox Isn't Giving Up Yet.

Across the gaming landscape, fans keep sounding the death bells for the Xbox brand. The platform was lately surpassed in sales by a relatively obscure console. Xbox fan sites are now publishing content about PlayStation as a new development. 2025 was complete chaos for the Xbox ecosystem. Yet, based exclusively on the upcoming Game Pass lineup in 2026, it becomes clear that the green gaming company continues to plan to attract subscribers with strong games on its flagship service.

The Current Inclusions

The duo of games that are immediately available at this moment, Brews & Bastards and Little Nightmares Enhanced Edition, are not the headliners. The true anticipation is for the upcoming titles to Game Pass soon that's worth getting excited about.

Upcoming Headline Games

On Jan. 13, the platform will add the underappreciated Star Wars Outlaws, a vast exploration title that breaks up the standard Ubisoft formula with an intergalactic heist adventure. A further major acquisition is Resident Evil Village and its giant Lady Dimitrescu, which our 2021 review called "an ideal blend of terror and combat."

Intriguing Niche Additions

Yet, the less-hyped additions set to join the catalog are noteworthy here. Lost In Random: The Eternal Die, a fantastic but under-the-radar dungeon crawler offering thrilling gameplay, becomes available next week — and it merits a playthrough whether or not you experienced the first Lost in Random game.

The game set in a ruined Britain from last year may draw you in in about 15 minutes flat.

Atomfall, the stealth survival game by Rebellion Developments, is also a game to check out. Those with the top-tier subscription also have Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine – Master Crafted Edition to look forward to.

A Robust Selection of Games

All in all, these titles aren't industry-shaking releases to Game Pass, and they are also not massive exclusive blockbusters that validate the subscription alone. Yet, this selection are very dependable. The lineup provides a solid mix of old games you might have missed and fairly new titles that lacked the recognition they warranted upon launch — transforming them into ideal prospects to experience a revival on Game Pass.

Be prepared to bid farewell to The Grinch Christmas Adventures, as it happens.
