Two men have been charged related to a luggage theft where a substance thought to be pepper spray resulted in harm at the major London air hub.

Tyrone Richards, 31, and Anton Clarke-Butcher, 24, now face two robbery charges and charges for deploying a toxic agent, according to official statements.

This legal action stems from an investigation into an assault at the multi-storey car park at Heathrow's Terminal Three on the weekend. Prior to the attack, two women were robbed of their suitcases stolen after exiting a car park lift, police said.

A three-year-old girl was one of the people hurt in the event. Five people were taken to a medical facility and were later discharged.

The incident – which authorities stated was isolated and deemed non-terroristic – led to disruptions to rail services and the temporary blocking of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park for a brief period.
