Two-time heavyweight champion Joshua Discharged from Medical Facility in Lagos Following Deadly Road Accident
Olympic gold medalist Anthony Joshua has left the medical facility, local government spokespeople announced on Wednesday night. The 36-year-old was part of a serious road collision near Lagos on December 29th, a devastating event that resulted in the deaths of two of his valued colleagues.
Recovering from Minor Injuries
The boxer had been under observation while recovering from minor injuries, representatives stated earlier on Monday. The Lagos state commissioner for information, Gbenga Omotoso, announced via a post online that Joshua was judged healthy enough to continue his recovery at home.
“Anthony and his mother were at the funeral home in Lagos this afternoon to offer their condolences to his two friends who passed away as they were being prepared for repatriation,” the official remarked.
Honoring the Deceased
The two men who died were confirmed to be Latif Ayodele, a fitness coach, and Sina Ghami, a conditioning specialist. The official further stated that the athlete was heartbroken and full of emotions over the loss of his two close friends.”
